Application Development Manager Our team of full stack engineers work with a wide range of Microsoft and open-source technologies to build and operate highly scalable, low latency products and services. If you are looking for an opportunity to lead multiple dev teams and build creative technology solutions that enable the construction industry, join our team today! In this newly developed role, you will help to recruit, hire, and build a world-class engineering team. You will develop a team of initiative-taking and talented engineers who collaborate with Product Management, Quality control and Project Management teams across the organization. You will have a hands-on technical role designing and developing features to delight our customers. You will have an active role in initiating and refining SDLC processes to allow teams to collaborate with a high degree of efficiency. As a mentor and a coach for your team, you will focus on helping them grow their professional career while maintaining a focus on delivering high quality and reliable code. Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution Manage technical aspects of multiple complex projects. Collaborate closely with engineers (on-shore and off-shore) to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development. Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on schedule. Role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong focus on software craftsmanship and development best practices. Manage resource allocation when priorities change. Align the team around a vision, using excellent communication and strong people skills. Builds high performance teams by managing, measuring, and improving software engineering processes. Energized by creating a transparent environment focused on sharing and supporting innovation. Participate and lead organizational development strategies and activities. Work with other IT and business leadership to determine priorities and resolve resource constraints. Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers and Product Owners, Quality Leads and DevOps to advocate for, and ensure, the prioritization of the right work at the right time. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience: 7+ years of Software Development experience; 3+ years of hands-on experience in building and leading strong engineering teams Deep hands-on technical expertise in web-technologies Strong experience leading Agile teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience managed teams of 10+ engineers. Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Experience in designing and developing solutions in the Microsoft ecosystem (.NET, SQL Server, Web API, etc.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development. Software development experience in building web services and highly scalable applications Experience in designing and developing cloud-native software solutions in Azure (PaaS)
