Park Properties Management Co seeks an experienced Apartment Maintenance Supervisor for Brookdale Apartments in Charlottesville, VA. As a key member of our team, Maintenance Supervisors are responsible for keeping our properties in top-notch physical condition, inside and out. Be ready to be busy! The maintenance supervisor performs maintenance tasks personally and/or delegates to assistants. A typical day could include plumbing, electrical, basic drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs, plus common area and exterior maintenance and repairs. Maintenance Supervisors often have to respond to after-hours emergencies. Therefore, being on-call is part of the job responsibilities.Our Park Properties team is dedicated to helping further the skills and attributes required to be a successful member of our maintenance team. Through our training and mentorship program, "The Park Academy," we will help build those with positive and eager-to-learn attitudes to grow and succeed.This is a full-time position with regular hours and benefits.Requirements Caring attitude, pride in your work and the apartment property Self-motivated and hard-working High-energy and commitment to high performance in a busy, multi-task work environment Minimum 3 years' experience in apartment maintenance or related field HVAC certification preferred Skilled in using power tools Good people skills, friendly, helpful attitude Rotating after-hours on-call availability, rotating weekends Frequent need to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
