About the facility A large multi-specialty hospital is seeking an anatomic/clinical pathologist for locum tenens coverage. About the facility location There are many places to visit while on assignment in Central Michigan! Take a trip to Belle Isle Park, Mackinac Island, or the Detroit Zoo! About the clinician's workday The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The call schedule alternates weekly, starting at 5:00 PM on Friday and ending at 8:00 AM the following Friday, with a call ratio of every other week. The laboratory holds CLIA certification. The locum provider will be responsible for grossing their own specimens and cutting their own frozen sections. Required anatomic pathology procedures include surgical pathology, GI pathology, GU pathology, neuropathology, dermatopathology, hematopathology (bone marrow, lymph nodes), interpretation of bone marrow aspirate/biopsy, cytology, and autopsy.
