Due to continued growth in our businesses, we have a requirement for an AME Apprentice to join our Team at our Peterborough, Ontario location. General Accountability AME Apprentice is responsible for knowledge of piston, turbo prop, jet aircraft and the maintenance applications associated with them. Furthermore, including but not limited to repairs, modifications and inspections on aircraft structures, systems and equipment. Specific Accountabilities Visually inspect, backss, and assist in repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, systems, and equipment. Remove, install, and functionally test aircraft components. Dismantle and assemble aircraft systems for repair and overhaul. Remove aircraft control systems, check rigging, and re-assemble. Diagnostically troubleshoot aircraft defects and carry out corrective action. Complete records of work done to sustain an accurate record system. Ability to interpret blueprints and written technical instructions. Must perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelines. Performs work in a productive, diligent, careful and safe manner. Complete any special projects or other tasks as required or assigned. May be assigned to other areas of operations, based on business or customer requirements. Works in compliance with all Administrative, Health & Safety policies and procedures as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies. Any other job-related duties assigned by department management Experience and Education Requirements Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of College/CEGEP/vocational/technical training in Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with Transport Canada accreditation,. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
