🌍 Do you care about clean air? Want to make a difference in your community? We're looking for a part-time Air Quality Site Technician to help us monitor air quality right here in East Los Angeles! About the Role In this unique, hands-on role, you'll work approximately 6 hours per month overseeing two black carbon monitors at our Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA location. These monitors provide crucial data for understanding air quality in the area. 🌳 You'll be responsible for: Data Monitoring & Reporting : Collecting and inputting data in a provided spreadsheet to keep us in compliance with our grant requirements.📊 Removal and Reinstallation of Equipment: Removing and shipping equipment for maintenance, and receiving and re-installing equipment. 📦 Minor Maintenance : Occasionally performing small maintenance tasks to keep the equipment in top shape (don't worry, training will be provided !). 🛠 ️ What You'll Need: A valid driver's license, ability to pass a motor vehicle record check, and access to a vehicle for easy site visits. 🚗 An interest in environmental quality (and a knack for keeping things organized is a plus!). 📅 Ability to attend training 🏫 Ability to use excel for basic data entry 💻 Why Join Us?
