Job Functions / Responsibilities: Participate in the definition, development and validation of electrified powertrains for heavy-duty trucks. Work in a collaborative small-team environment to explore and evaluate advanced vehicle technologies. Be the lead person responsible for the concept, design and implementation of controls architecture and coding to support advanced technologies projects. Gain and apply broad product knowledge to implement new technologies to meet changing requirements in the heavy-duty truck market. Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with internal and external organizations to explore and test future technologies. Utilize Pro/E to create optimized parts and assembly of complex designs. Leverage internal product development processes and 6 Sigma skills to ensure high quality results, manage progress and report updates. Requirements & Skills: 4-year degree required; Master’s degree in business or engineering and P.E. certificate are preferred 3+ years of background in the specification and design of complex automotive components required; proficient in the use of Pro/E or other similar solid modeling software. Competence in the use of personal computer software such as ms word processing, database, and spreadsheets Familiarity with project management methods and tools Applicant should be willing to make use of engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems Requires independent judgment and effective project management.
