River Crossing YMCA is looking to hire an Adapted After School Instructor to work with the Special Needs community! Adapted After School Instructor Salary : $13.50 Adapted After School Instructor Hours : Mondays & Wednesdays, 2:30pm - 5:00pm (part time) Adapted After School Instructor Responsibilities : Safely supervise and lead participants through provided daily activities Adapting program activities to suit each participant's needs Positively engage and interact with participants while encouraging positive socialization between participants Reinforce positive behaviors, teach proper sportsmanship and bring enthusiasm to every shift Acknowledge different learning styles and meet the needs of each participant Develop strong relationships with participants and their families through communication and actions Provide feedback to participants and parents/guardians on individual performance Arrive 15 before scheduled program time to prepare equipment and set up for program to begin at scheduled start time Maintain confidentiality of all participants Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor Adapted After School Instructor Qualifications : 16 years or older, preferred 18+ 1-3 yrs. experience working with people with disabilities in a recreational or educational setting Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with others Adapted After School Instructor Benefits: Supplemental insurance benefits (Voluntary Accident/Injury, Hospital, and Cancer coverage via Aflac) 12% employer contribution to your YMCA pension plan YMCA Membership Up to 100% off of Childcare and Camps Exceptional growth potential for your role and career Salary: $13.50 Hours: Mondays & Wednesdays, 2:30pm-5:00pm (part time) Job Type: Part time YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer All Qualified Women, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and US Veterans Encouraged to Apply ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
