About the Role: As the Activity Director, you will lead the planning, organization, and execution of activities designed to meet the comprehensive needs of our residents. Your leadership and creativity will help foster a vibrant and engaging environment that enhances the physical, mental, and social well-being of each resident. Supplemental insurance options Discounts on premium amenities and services On-Demand Pay options Shifts: Day shifts Key Responsibilities: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activities programs for the facility. Ensure that activities are designed to meet the interests and needs of residents, considering their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team in the development of care plans and participate in discharge planning. Supervise and train activity staff, ensuring all activities adhere to state and federal regulations. Develop community and family engagement in activity programs to support the socialization and involvement of residents. Maintain detailed documentation of resident participation, progress, and outcomes in activity programs. Ensure all activities comply with infection control, safety, and privacy policies. Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or an activity professional who is eligible for certification. Previous experience in an activity director role, ideally in a long-term care or healthcare setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to residents of all functional levels. Creative, enthusiastic, and able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Why Join Venza Care?
