We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Kinston, NC ! You will manage the full accounts receivable process, ensuring that invoicing, payment processing, and collections are handled efficiently and accurately. Key Responsibilities: Invoicing Prepare and distribute accurate invoices to customers, ensuring compliance with company policies. Verify invoice details against purchase orders or supporting documents. Enter invoice data into the accounting system and process for payment. Payment Processing Accurately record and post customer payments. Reconcile daily cash receipts and bank deposits. Generate and distribute customer account statements. Collections Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts. Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on late payments. Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing disputes professionally. Escalate complex collection issues to management when necessary. Maintain detailed records of all collection activities. Customer Service Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and account statuses. Investigate and resolve customer discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Other Duties Assist with month-end closing procedures. Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions. Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: Education : Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred OR diploma with strong accounting background. Experience : Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role. Skills : Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles and best practices. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
