Accounting Specialist

Summary This position will complete general accounting and bookkeeping in a multi-company platform. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Daily report of transmissions. Financial statement processing. Compliance reporting. Sales tax reporting. Bank reconciliations. Prepare and post journal entries. Month-end close. Cash management (recons). Hotel sales accounting/proration/receivables. Licenses, permits and annual reports. Credit card/chargeback/retrieval. Personal property tax reports. Job Requirements Knowledge of accounting and payroll principles. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Excellent multi-task and organization skills. Must be dependable, professional, consistent and serious about the tasks at hand. Excellent attention to detail. Education and/or Experience Associate's degree or above. Previous accounting experience. Preferred but not Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and accounting experience. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and other customary office equipment. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary. Travel This position does not require any travel. Safety Requirements Must be aware and conform to all safety requirements when in the facility, operating motor vehicles, or in the field performing duties for the company.
