Key Responsibilities Prepare and review month-end financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations. Post journal entries and ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including accruals, prepaids, and other necessary adjustments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs, automate manual processes, and improve the overall efficiency of the accounting department using technology solutions. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis to senior management and business leaders. Support the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets by analyzing historical financial trends and business performance. Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, accounting regulations, and internal controls. Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles. Experience with automation and process optimization in accounting functions is a plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical financial data to non-financial stakeholders. Preferred Skills Experience with Power BI for financial reporting and data visualization (building reports, dashboards, and automated workflows) is a plus Experience within a leadership or management role Experience in business intelligence tools and data integration. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar). Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000/year ABOUT GAGE MARINE Gage Marine traces its roots in Lake Geneva back to 1873.
