Location of Employment: (Vista, CA) 90% telecommuting is allowed if within the commuting distance of the office location Job Duties1. Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements and financial reports specific to clinical trials (Phase I-III); Assist to develop, implement, modify, and maintain accounting systems; Analyze the company clinical trial and regulatory affair's business operations, trends, revenues and financial obligation to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to accounting standards; Perform P&L and break-even analysis on CTM and Regulatory affair activities. Establish and maintain unit cost standards and forecast revenue profitability using financial data from the company's clinical trial and regulatory affairs operations. Offer expert cost /accounting related evaluation consultancy to sponsors regarding third-party CROs proposals.2. Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts; Review clinical trial expense postings for correct classification, accounting and record journal entries as required; Establish and maintain company inventory list based on assets purchase/in-use timepoint, record depreciation schedule; Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences using bank statements.3. Assist with FDA and independent TMF financial disclosure inspections; Assist external CPA to prepare corporate annual income tax returns, quarterly tax filing and filing extension for IRS and state; Maintain other tax compliance payment and documentation including but not limited to CA franchise tax, SD business property tax, etc.; Provides financial data for clinical trial insurance, property insurance and business insurance contents coverage and insurance audit when necessary. Minimum Job Requirement Masters degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or a closely related field. 6-month accounting or budgetary analysis related experience as an Accountant, Budget Analyst, or a related occupation in the biopharmaceutical industry and/or regulatory contract research organization business. 6-month experience with 1) analysis of clinical trial financial data and financial modeling, 2) clinical site per-patient/per site cost analysis, 3) financial reports preparation based on vendor cost analysis derived from service specification and average market value, and 4) break-even analysis preparation based on regulatory service provided, derived from market landscape/value and cost of service. 90% telecommuting is allowed if within the commuting distance of the office location.
