We are looking for a Full-time, skilled tax preparer and accountant. Must have experience in income tax preparation - individual, corporate, partnership, etc., Also responsible for the preparation of client financial statements, overseeing books, making adjustments, corrections, etc. Must have a strong understanding of debits and credits as well as GAAP. Must be proficient in QuickBooks On-Line as well as Desktop. Great listening skills and the ability to work independently are also critical. Responsibilities:• Enter, adjust, reconcile, etc. accounting information, and prepare financial statements• Prepare income tax returns - individual, corporate, partnership, estate, trust, etc.• Communicate with clients regarding obtaining and reconciling book and tax information• Work on special projects Qualifications:• Previously with QuickBooks On-Line and Desktop, MS Office, etc.• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), of debits and credits• Experience with the preparation of financial statements and reconciling with bank and other accounts to support schedules• Bachelor's degree in accounting/related experience• 3+ years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper• Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, time management skills, and ability to work under deadlines Compensation: $29 - $35 hourly About Company: Helping clients with accounting, tax preparation, tax planning, and other consulting needs since 1994.
