Horizon Public Health is an accredited local public health department serving Douglas, Grant, Pope, Stevens and Traverse Counties. We are currently recruiting applicants for a Full-Time Account Technician. This position will perform various accounting functions which may include third party and private pay billing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports and related work as apparent or assigned. This position will work particularly with grant invoicing and budgets and can work out of any of our 5 offices. Minimum qualifications include an Associates/Technical degree with coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, administrative assistant skills, or related field and moderate experience working in accounting, bookkeeping, billing, payroll, office assistance. Experience working with grants and grant invoices, tracking, budgeting, agreements and contracts preferred. Must have a valid MN drivers license and reliable, insured transportation. This is a Grade 7 MNA/AFSCME Council #65 union position, step 1 $23.77/hour.
