Commercial Insurance Account Executive Job Description: Come join Coverdash’s Commercial Risk Unit! As a Commercial Insurance Account Executive, you’ll help build small and mid-commercial accounts, quote and rate new business leads, and assist in scaling a team of in-house insurance producers, all while becoming a small and mid commercial insurance expert.We are in a rapid build-out phase and are deploying new software to production daily, so our ideal candidate is someone who can thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. You will work closely with our technical teams, operating as the insurance subject matter expert, helping review processes and systems to build technology that efficiently and effectively meets the needs of the P&C commercial insurance industry in today’s digitized world. You should feel comfortable working autonomously, helping create new products, and meeting the insurance needs of insureds.Coverdash is a Virtual First Workplace with an office location in NYC. This role can be based anywhere in the U.S as long as you can work our Coverdash core collaboration hours (9:00 am-5:00 pm Eastern Time). What You’ll Be Responsible For: P&C Commercial insurance salesIndependently manage client relationships and sell accounts up to $20MM in volume revenueDevelop, analyze, and implement competitive insurance programs, providing various alternatives for client consideration. Prepare, market, quote rates for new businessGrowing a profitable book of business with strategic placement of businessSupport new business by following up on leads in a timely mannerPerform database file management and input information. Accurately manage and maintain documents in agency management systemsBuilding relationship with commercial underwriters Qualifications 3+ years of P&C commercial sales or brokerage experienceProperty and Casualty insurance experience requiredActive P&C license in good standingExcellent communication skills: written, public speaking and presentation preparationExcellent telephone etiquette, customer service skills, professionalism and tactAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and its more complex featuresAbility to be resourceful, take initiative, solve problems and offer solutionsWorks well with others in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to co-workers and colleagues. Ability to train, delegate, provide oversight, and give feedbackExcellent time management skillsAbility to learn and adopt and train use of technology systems and software applicationsIntermediate project planning and managementBachelor’s Degree or related field or equivalent work experienceExperience working with CRM/AMS and comparative rating platformsPrior insurtech or startup work experience a plusThe pay range for this role is: $100,000 to $150,000 per year, including on target commission / variable pay.Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits and other perks. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, location, and business need.
