Join our client's team as a Systems Engineer and be at the forefront of defining system requirements, architecture, and design, aimed at making a significant impact across the federal government. Responsibilities: Collaborate with fellow engineers to define system requirements, architecture, and design. Work closely with key stakeholders and IT teams to assess customer requests for new systems, applications, product standards, and services. Contribute to the development and optimization of the core platform, ensuring robust platform infrastructure. Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations. Analyze and validate system designs against requirements and specifications. Must Have's: 8-10 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, specializing in provisioning, installing, and supporting on-premise mission-critical systems. Proficiency in maintaining and managing on-premise VMWare infrastructure. In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, Kubernetes, Ubuntu, and CI/CD Automation. Experience operating in a DevSecOps environment. Strong collaborative skills, capable of working effectively within a team and independently. Innovative problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements. Capacity to establish and maintain client trust through exemplary skills and performance. Bachelor's Degree. Active TS//SCI clearance. Nice to Have's: Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Grafana, and Prometheus. Expertise in container orchestration tools like Rancher, OpenShift, etc. Experience in hardening and securing containers. Previous exposure to commercial cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Eagerness to stay abreast of new development concepts, methodologies, and technologies. Salary : $150,000 - $180,000 Location : Washington D.C. Mission Box Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
