Oliver Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor responsible for overseeing all manufacturing employees on the 2nd shift within the facility. This role involves working hands-on to assist staff in achieving the goals set by the Plant Director. The 2nd Shift Supervisor ensures the safety of those within the facility during the second shift and ensures adherence to Oliver policies and procedures. Reporting Relationship(s): The 2nd Shift Supervisor reports to the Plant Director and collaborates with other department managers as needed. About the Role : In this opportunity as a 2nd Shift Supervisor , you will: Supervise all 2nd shift personnel on the production floor and provide direction to other employees. Oversee operations in manufacturing, evaluate employees, resolve personnel issues, and hold employees accountable. Maintain product quality and monitor all operations with a focus on productivity, throughput, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with established ISO guidelines, enforce all safety protocols, promote a culture of safety, and create a secure work environment. Manage the employee performance review process, schedules, and paid time off requests. Foster a collaborative environment while ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company policies/procedures and OSHA regulations. Take overall responsibility for the facility during the second shift, including handling plant emergencies. About You : You're a fit for the role of 2nd Shift Supervisor if your background includes: General knowledge of manufacturing with mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is a plus. Proficiency in understanding workflows and adjusting for continuous improvement and productivity. Ability to read and understand documents such as business correspondence, safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and production manuals, and to write simple letters or communications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word, and the ability to learn an ERP system. Excellent coaching and communication skills with the ability to engage employees and create a strong team environment. Oliver Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
