What You’ll Do : The Technical Writer will support the Business Development team and will primarily support our proposal operation. You will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing technical content for business development efforts, including proposal content, white papers, and marketing collateral. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with exceptional writing skills and experience in federal or commercial business development. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Write, edit, and format proposal responses in compliance with RFP, RFQ, and RFI requirements. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop clear, concise, and persuasive narratives. Tailor content to align with the client’s goals, objectives, and evaluation criteria. Create technical documentation, case studies, resumes, and past performance summaries for inclusion in proposals. Maintain a repository of reusable content for future use. Partner with cross-functional teams, including business development, capture management, and technical SMEs, to gather input and ensure accuracy. Ensure that all written content meets compliance requirements, formatting guidelines, and quality standards. Review and edit content to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to branding standards. What You’ll Need : Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a business development or proposal environment. Experience working with federal and/or commercial proposals is highly desirable. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Familiarity with proposal processes is a plus. (e.g., Shipley Methodology, APMP Certification). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
