Location: 100 1 st Street NW Mason City, IA 50401Job Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: $60,320 - $64,480About Us: North Iowa Community Action Organization is dedicated to supporting the health, development, and well-being of children and families in our community. We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to lead our 1st Five program, which connects young children and families to services and resources that support healthy development, early intervention, and overall wellness.Position Overview: The 1st Five Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the 1st Five program, including staff supervision, program planning, outreach, and collaboration with community partners. This role will drive efforts to ensure that young children receive the care and resources they need for optimal development.Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the 1st Five program, including program development, service delivery, and quality improvement initiatives. Supervise, mentor, and support program staff to achieve individual and program goals. Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to strengthen program impact. Ensure compliance with all funding, regulatory, and reporting requirements. Develop and implement outreach and education activities for families, community members, and health professionals. Monitor program performance and outcomes, using data-driven insights to inform program decisions and improvements. Collaborate with NICAO leadership to develop strategic plans and secure funding opportunities for program sustainability and growth.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, health education, social work, counseling, nursing, sociology, family and consumer sciences, health and human development, individual and family studies, early childhood, psychology or other health related fields. Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in health or early childhood-focused settings. Strong understanding of early childhood development, family systems, and community resources. Demonstrated leadership skills, including staff management and relationship building. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Proficiency in data analysis and experience with program evaluation.
