Web Producer The Web Producer supports and maintains several websites pertaining to the pharmaceutical / life sciences industry. This position is an essential member of the team that helps ensure that content is up-to-date and relevant in order to drive traffic and keep users engaged on the site. This person would also be responsible for doing project work or other work on an as-needed basis.Essential Functions: • Update content and rotate features using Drupal and other CMS systems to ensure freshness and relevance. o Areas of responsibilities include updating content on cbinet.com as well as the various publications and other sites owned by Advanstar• Package content for relevancy, pairing content with other content across all Advanstar sites (linking like content together across sites)• Create new pages across various websites and assist with production tasks for larger projects• Edit and optimize graphics for the web using Photoshop• Keep abreast of and prioritizing bugs/enhancements on the site - work with product management and development on fixes and project manage through concept to execution• Provide technical support to business content owners; answer CMS related questions and maintain training documents and how-to’s• Gain consensus across numerous departments throughout the company to make the appropriate updates to the websites and ensure it meets the needs of the business • Juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with quick turnaround timesJob Requirements:• Passionate about creating engaging and relevant content on the web. Willing to become familiar with website audience and market.• 1-2+ years of experience with content management systems – especially Drupal – HTML skills a plus• Working knowledge of Photoshop and image optimization as well as ability to learn other programs in the Adobe Creative Suite (CS4) a plus• Grasp of design fundamentals (fonts, layout, style sheets, image optimization, etc) and knowledge of cross-browser development a plus• Familiar with usability standards and user experience practices online a plus• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment – ability to work autonomously with limited direction from management• Limited reporting and analytics to gauge how changes to the sites affect traffic and conversions – experience with Omniture Site Catalyst a plus• Strong attention to detail with an eye towards quality• Excellent written and verbal communication and proofreading skills• Versed on Mac and PC platforms as well as MS Office Suite• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
