General Summary:The Pharmacist isresponsible for compounding and dispensing medications, evaluating patients for appropriate medication usage and providing patient education. He or she will also be responsible for supervising Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in the preparation of medications and the completion of responsibilities necessary for optimal pharmaceutical care. Some staffing required. In addition, the Supervisor Pharmacist will act as the pharmacy department manager in the absence of the Director.Education/Training RequirementsGraduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy (BS or Pharm.D degree)Licensed Pharmacist in the state of MarylandPharmacy residency in behavioral health preferred. Strong customer service skillsAbility to handle multi-task environment.Has at least 3yrs in a hospital based practice with, at least, 1 year of pharmacy management/supervisory experience desired.Basic PC skillssuch as Microsoft Word, Excel and department specific software programs.B.S. in Pharmacy, 2-3 years. behavioral health hospital exp., current Md. license req.
