The Student Centers & Activities "VT Student" Pool is for a variety ofpositions within Student Centers & Activities.This pool opens/closes quarterly Jan 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1. Shifts vary by position and area andmay include early morning, day, evening, night, weekend hours, and holiday hours.Positions in the following areas are frequentlyavailable: Production, Ticket Office, Event Management, Administrative Offices, Facilities, War Memorial Chapel, Maintenance and other areasinclluding Squires Student Center, Johnston Student Center and Graduate Life Center. Minimum experience: All positions require excellent customer service and communication abilities and interaction withdiverse groups of people in a friendly manner in person and/or by phone. Some positions may require specialized skills and/or knowledge ofbasic safety rules. Cashier positions require previous cash handling experience, the expertise to operate a cash register, and completerelated reports with a high degree of accuracy.Criminal experience investigation required for some positions. Preferred Requirements: Customer service experience is helpful. Previous work working as part of a team.Prior work in leading / directing groups and/or individuals.
