Stonegate Mortgage, a rapidly growing company on Indianapolis' Northside, is searching for their next Staff Accountant. POSITION SUMMARY:Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including but not limited to deposits to the bank, daily journal entries, and bank and account reconciliations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS •Record journal entries for loan level transactions •Assist with accounting for HIP department •Assist with accounting and tracking for various balance sheet accounts •Assist with month end close •Research problems and help resolve •Communicate with Director of Accounting any issues encountered •Provide reporting and support for CFO and Director of Accounting as needed •Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience: •4-5 years Accounts Payable experience •Evidence of growth in current or prior job responsibilites •Mortgage industry and/or Financial Services experience is a plusApply online or send a message for details.
