Sr. SOA / API ArchitectContract-to-HireHightstown NJThis is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced SOA / API Architect with a leading organization. We are working directly with the hiring manager responsible for this position! The company is a leading global provider of industry specific news, research, and info services.ROLE-- Lead data design, development, test-automation, and integration of REST APIs.-- Serve as the point of contact for all API strategy.-- Interact closely with all technology and business project stakeholders in defining API standards, improving existing APIs, API integration with customers/partners through SOA gateways, contract definitions, SLA monitoring, compliance and capacity planning.-- 20%+ travel to NYC and other US sites.REQUIRED-- 12+ years of IT experience overall.-- 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting SOA solutions.-- Hands-on experience designing, developing and deploying RESTful APIs, incl. best practices in its design with XML and JSON.-- Excellent understanding of industry proven Web service interaction patterns.-- Hands-on experience in developing API strategy for exposing internal APIs to external customers.-- Experience in product development and monetization of APIs.-- Hands-on experience in API version management and continuous builds/deploys.-- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar area.-- Strong written and verbal communication skills.DESIRED-- Experience with other APIs such as Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc.-- Hands-on experience in SSO frameworks, such as OAuth 2.0.-- Strong relational Data Base knowledge/experience such as Oracle 11g.-- Knowledge of .Net WCF.-- Knowledge/Experience building API based frameworks in the cloud.-- Experience integrating REST APIs with Single Sign On (SSO) framework.-- Experience with Cloud environments.-- Experience with MarkLogic.-- Experience with Agile development methodology.Code: apiArchNJ-sdjPlease contact me if you are interested in this opportunity:(click to respond)860-267-5826http://www.safaristaffing.comListing originally posted at http://www.softdevjobs.com/job/sr-soa-api-architect-temp-to-hire-hightstown-nj-undisclosed-4514b62b10/?d=1&source=oodle
