Description:
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer in our Sunnyvale California office to support our global base of our clients Video On Demand customers. Our client delivers video over IP networks to multiple devices including mobile phones, tablets, PCs and TVs.Your responsibilities include:Technical Support Ticket tracking & resolution via Web, E-Mail and Phone.Remote login to customer systems to identify and correct or advise on issues.Perform Customer upgrades both remotely and onsite (5-10% travel may be required)Act as a customer advocate within our company to ensure customer issues are heard and fully understood.Keep customers informed of new products and services available to them, through the successful completion of our Product training.Stay apprised of customer upgrade & maintenance cycles and communicate this data to stakeholders at our company (Engineering, QA, Product Management, Sales)Lead regular status meetings with customer and attend onsite meetings when required.Communicate regularly (outside of support cases) with the customer to evaluate satisfaction and proactively identify upcoming needs.Search for opportunities to generate new revenue through roadmap acceleration, training or consulting.Coordinate with internal technical experts as needed to meet customer needs, while managing customer expectations to prevent overload or missed deadlines.Qualifications:Min 5yrs of software verification background Good written and spoken communication skillsExperience with test automation using at least 1 or more of the following scripting/programming languages: Perl, Java, XML, JavaScript, Python, JythonKnowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP and other network and internet protocols including SSL/HTTPSDemonstrable expertise to work in pure Linux environments (1+ years background), including, but not limited to scripting, collecting system utilization data and troubleshooting networking issuesExperience in performance and load testingDemonstrable knowledge of current software testing methodologies, including test strategies for testing as part of an agile development teamDemonstrable complex issue solving skillsExcellent interpersonal/team skillsWillingness to take ownership and initiative and to ensure a quality product is delivered to customersHighly motivated self-starter with strong time organizational skills and expertise to work independentlyAbility to lead 1 or more less experienced testers5+ to 7 yrs of experienceMinimum Education - Bachelor's DegreeEmail resume to (click to respond)Listing originally posted at http://www.jobvertise.com/job?jobid=9897449&referer=oodle
