Volt Delta Resources LLC, a Division of Volt Information Sciences (NYSE:VOL), offers Directory Assistance, Mobility and Telecom, Data and Media, and IT Outsourcing services to the Telecommunications, Financial Services, Contact Center and Enterprise markets. We have an immediate opening for Senior Revenue/Cost Project Accountant. This position will be primarily responsible for maintaining the corporate revenue recognition process including the maintenance of contracts and customer acceptance documentation. Other duties include the performance of various accounting functions, such as financial analysis, accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial results and other financial support. This individual will report to the Director Project Accounting.Responsibilities:" Actively participate in month end closing activities including:o Review open & closed projectso Warranty and maintenance renewalso Deferred revenue analysiso Revenue recognition analysiso Deferred COGS adjustmentso Track, maintain and account for the costs associated with projectso Reconciliation of A/R and credit exposureso Preparation of journal entrieso Review and creation of monthly accrualso Annual, quarterly and month-end close and review process" Prepare quarterly and annually audit schedules" Assist in VSOE & BESP review" Special projects as required.Requirements:The ideal candidate will have Bachelor degree in Accounting in addition to 4+ years of strong revenue recognition accounting experience with multi-element arrangements, software and contract accounting, including a working knowledge of SAB 101 & 104, SOP 81-1 & 97-2, and EITF 08-1 & 09-3. Other requirements include:" Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA required " Related cost accounting experience mandatory " Demonstrated ability in performing balance sheet and P&L account analysis" A superior working knowledge of Excel " Familiarity with PeopleSoft/Oracle and nVision or Hyperion " Analytical and Detail oriented" Team player with desire to grow and achieveInterested candidates should forward resume and salary history .
