. Sr. Details Architect Contract-to-Hire Hightstown NJ This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Details Architect with a leading organization. We are working directly with the hiring manager responsible for this position. The company is a leading global provider of industry specific news, research, and info services. ROLE -- Establish info architecture practices and business line service levels for logical data design & development, implementation methodologies, and ongoing support. -- Serve as primary advocate of info architecture, data modeling methodologies and data processing best practices. -- Provide technical leadership (data architecture and design) for projects. -- Work together with business stakeholders, product owners and cross-functional IT teams. -- Work with business and technology teams on end to end info architecture. -- Create details architecture strategies and develop associated roadmaps and high-level plans. -- Drive establishing master reference data strategy and implementation roadmap within and across business lines. -- Design, develop, and coordinate enterprise metadata and taxonomy strategy. -- Develop the standards, processes and procedures to align with details architecture. -- Formulate the standards, processes and procedures to align with the details architecture for major application projects. -- Ensure key application projects alignment with enterprise standards and target architecture/roadmap. -- Support, guide, and mentor teams in data analysis, logical and physical data models. -- Provide leadership to create the enterprise strategy and direction for data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics. -- Monitor regulatory/compliance guidelines and new industry standards to determine their impact. -- Oversee the creation and evolution of architecture deliverables, including services, frameworks, templates, taxonomies, tools, standards, guidelines and best practices that support the delivery of IT solutions. REQUIRED -- 6+ years of hands-on database admin or details architecture roles. -- 3+ years of hands-on background in data analytics environment. -- Expert in supporting data analysis and development tasks in the software development process. -- Expert in providing data consulting and communicating technology direction. -- Expert in supporting data design activities, particularly bridging application interfaces to data. -- Expert in two or more business areas/practices. -- Expert in conducting data design reviews. -- Expert in evaluating data technologies. -- Expert in leading task forces for data design and development activities. -- Expert in facilitating and developing logical data design (from business qualifications), supporting DBA's physical design work, facilitating the development of data libraries (meta-data definitions), and performing quality assurance on data aspects of systems and reports. -- Background with master data management (MDM) practices & implementing solutions. -- Background building business cases for data architecture options. -- Background evaluating next-generation logical data design, data visualization, reporting, and data management technologies. -- Background leading logical data architecture / technology task forces / teams. -- Background directing multi-vendor engagements. -- Background in technology selection & best-practice management for structured, semi-structured & unstructured data. -- Background creating, inspiring and driving data, database, reporting, and/or overall business systems direction. -- Background with Agile development & practices.
