LOCATION: Nashville, TN.COMPANY:Uniguest is the world leader in providing information touchpoints to the hospitality industry.TITLE:Ruby on Rails DeveloperROLE:The Ruby on Rails Developer will work directly with the Director of Development to develop new and exciting web applications based on Uniguest's proprietary CMS and web API. The Ruby on Rails Developer will also work closely with the Windows and Macintosh specialists, and with QA and technical support teams to facilitate testing and documentation. The Ruby on Rails Developer will work indirectly with the Chief Technology Officer to ensure that developed solutions fit within Uniguest's vision. Work product will feature a high degree of attention to design, detail and visual polish and be utilized by guests and employees of the largest hotel brands in the world.JOB REQUIREMENTS:• 2+ years as a developer• 1+ years experience with Ruby on Rails• 1+ years experience with common web technologies• Uniguest is not an H1B sponsor company.• Please submit resume with functioning URLs to past workSKILLS REQUIRED:• Proficient with both the Ruby language and the Rails framework.• Proficient with HTML/XML/JS/CSS• Comfortable working with a team of developers on a daily basis* Flexibility both in daily workflow and development methodologies• Experienced in working with web APIs (JSON)• Experienced working under version control systems. (Git)• Ability to write efficient, well-structured, well-documented, and reusable code. * Experience with jQuery, Heroku, or RubyMine a plus• Design skills a plus, but not requiredRESPONSIBILITIES:• Develop new Rails-based applications* Maintain and add features to existing web applications• Stay abreast of advances in the Ruby community and web technologies in generalCOMPENSATION:Salary commensurate with experience.
