Retail Lending - Business Systems Manager
MandateThe Business Systems Manager is responsible for the oversight, support and daily administration of the Retail Lending Business systems and applications. This role will represent the Retail Lending line of business as a subject matter expert on LOS upgrades and projects and serve as the key escalation point and will lead the line of business team for systems/software/applications/hardware related initiatives. This role will lead the creation/documentation/submission of small work requests, manage vendor related projects, oversee system security clearances and support ad hoc as well as scheduled reporting requirements as needed. Managed here would also be infrastructure upgrades, facilities management and all activities of business continuity planning. The individual would manage a team that would define, document and organize Retail Lending’s business continuity planning and execution. Key Accountabilities40%: Oversee and Support Loan Origination SystemServe as the key escalation point and line of business representative for Mortgage Loan Origination System (LOS) issues.Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions.Represent Retail Lending as a subject matter expert on LOS upgrades.Participate in system testing.Oversee the development, documentation and completion of small work requests.Manage oversight of all mortgage loan documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.Manage technology vendor relationships.Oversee system security clearances.Support ad hoc as well as scheduled reporting requirements as needed.Ensuring that software licensing laws are adhered to 30%: Oversee and Support Enterprise Infrastructure Upgrades and Strategic ProjectsRepresent Retail Lending as a subject matter expert on enterprise infrastructure upgrades and projects.Participate in system demonstrationsReview - and be responsible for - the development and integration of requirements.Define and control the project scope and scaleManage and evaluate iterationsCollaborate with other project leads to develop, implement and maintain project plans, including the configuration management, risk management, project measurement and quality management plans. 30%:Business Continuity ManagementInitiatives Inclusive of disaster recovery, business recovery, crisis management, incident management, emergency management and contingency planning.Identify potential impacts/risks that threaten an organisation and provide a framework for building resilience and the capability for an effective response which safeguards the interests of key stake holders, reputation, brand and value.Develop recommendations to mitigate risks through the appropriate use of technical, procedural, and administrative controls in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established industry best practiceWorks directly with business areas to lead the preparation and maintenance of business impact assessments, recovery plans, procedures and preparations. Act as an advocate and liaison between business and technical areas to ensure that recovery requirements and issues are identified and effectively addressedAuthoritiesInformation Access - This role has the authority to use and access confidential information related to customer, product and financial information.Project - This role has limited authority to deploy resources as appropriate within the context of specific projects to meet business goals and objectives.Escalation -This role has the authority to escalate issues or concerns to his/her direct manager and/or to the Head of Retail Lending.
