Quality Engineer - Automotive Plastics job#10352 - Akron, Ohio Salary Range: $50K+, Benefits, World Travel We need a Degreed Quality Engineer for this PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (individual may still be pursuing); or equivalent experience Specific education and training in Quality disciplines are required, including (ISO/TS16949), Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management 3-5 yrs in quality preferred You will need to have hands-on experience (3+ years min) with specific working knowledge of Toyota an/or GM methodologies. You must have expereince with Plactic Components related to the Automotive Industry. This position requires travel approx: 60% USA and International. Requirements: Perform inspection (in-process) of products and processes through the use of visual, measurement, and testing techniques for a variety of qualities such as dimensions appearance and performance characteristics. Develop, revise and monitor internal inspection plans and process control charts for in-process and final inspection. Responsible for the monitoring, measuring and troubleshooting of product quality and process performance QMS system development. Responsible to conduct capability studies, and ensure that they are properly performed and documented for special characteristics and internal requirements are met (or a written Customer deviation is obtained). Support the continuous improvement of Inspection Plans and Workpoints. APQP process w/PFMEA and Control Plan development Prepare and submit customer PPAP package in customer prescribed formats including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Dimensional Results, and Gage Studies. Interface with assigned external customers as the single point contact for issue resolution. Responsible to co-ordinate the preparation and on-time delivery of supplier AQP deliverables. Responsible for completion of any customer specific advanced quality planning requirements. Supplier quality and monitoring.
