PRODUCTION SCHEDULER A well run production schedule ensures a 100% on-time rate is met while optimizing production efficiencies and inventory levels. Job Scope: â?¢Develop a working knowledge of the company's products and processes to insure optimal master schedule stability and load leveling. â?¢Responsible for expediting required materials through the manufacturing process to satisfy customer delivery deadlines while optimizing production efficiencies and inventory investments. â?¢ Collaborates closely with production, sales and customer service to ensure all customer expectations of an on-time delivery are met while optimizing machine utilization. â?¢Insures all production schedules support on-time delivery goals and raw materials are available as schedules are created. â?¢Works closely with operations, purchasing and receiving to develop and implement processes to minimize inventory discrepancies. â?¢ Actively participates in analyzing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels and system parameters to meet customer requirements. â?¢Interfaces with buyers in managing supplier constraints, overcoming issues and planning corrective actions in order to attain performance outcomes. Responsibilities: â?¢ Creates a master schedule that satisfies customer demand (Internal and external) with optimum inventory levels and resource utilization. Insures that the master schedule can be used for detailed material and capacity planning. â?¢Manage the shop order, product routing and bill of materials processes. â?¢Responsible for providing a feasible master schedule plan to operations to execute. â?¢Analyzes the demand and supply balance at the product family and master schedule levels, determining out- of- balance conditions, identifying alternatives and recommending corrective actions. â?¢ Anticipate supply problems and implement resolution working jointly with Sales, Operations and the Purchasing/Receiving team. â?¢Chairs the weekly master scheduling meeting for the purpose of identifying, negotiating and resolving conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order promising. â?¢ Responsible for the cycle count process for parent rolls. â?¢Schedules, buys and sells parent rolls and interacts with outside vendors. Desired Skills & Experience: â?¢Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistical Analysis, or other related field; or other equivalent industry experience. â?¢ Minimum of 5 years experience in planning/scheduling â?¢Prior planning experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred â?¢Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office, ERP system and the ability to learn new programs. â?¢Ability to deliver excellent customer service to both colleagues and customers; attention to detail â?¢ Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment. â?¢ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels within the organization; superior communication is a must, as this position serves as the key information source between Manufacturing, Customer Service and Sales (Internal and External). â?¢ Positive attitude and strong team player Resumes should be sent to (email removed)
