Qualitek Services has an immediate (Months) months+ contract opening for a Physical Data Modeler with ERWin, and PowerDesigner in Minneapolis, MN. KEY SKILLS **** Must be a US Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident**** ****There is NO relocation benefits available for this position****** Applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 yrs of previous experience background. ???????? Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business Administration ??? ????????? 5 + years of Teradata and Data Warehouse background required ????????? 5 + years background in advanced data modeling skills ????????? Industry knowledge in retail ????????? Background in implementing physical model on relational databases. ????????? Knowledge of SQL to analyze databases ????????? Job is in Minneapolis MN RESPONSIBILITIES: Create the physical data model with a data modeling tool like ERWin, Power Designer, etc. ?????? Modify the physical data model for efficient data access paths. ?????? Generate and execute DDL to create databases, tables, and views. ?????? Identify and create primary indexes, partitioned primary indexes, secondary indexes, join indexes, and ?????? all other needed indexes. ?????? Identify statistics columns, and create and execute collect statistics statements. ?????? Identify and create necessary associative tables, data constraints, and multi-value compression. ?????? Recommend and establish standards, guidelines, and procedures for design and maintenance. ?????? Work in a collaborative manner to contribute to a common set of physical and semantic data modeling??? ?????? standards, best practices and design patterns ?????? May require working collaboratively with business intelligence independent software vendors (ISVs) to reverse engineer their data structures into physical data models, and optimize them for the client.
