Description:
Our client is seeking an Oracle Database Engineer for a Scottsdale, Arizona client.This Database Engineer will understand relational database concepts, architecture, database servers, and networking. They will serve as an expert in database systems engineering and administration; undertakes the most complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge; and makes well-thought-out decisions on the most complex or ambiguous database systems engineering issues. Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Design, develop, test, debug, and implement the most complex database components, tools, and utilities. Make the most complex modifications to existing hardware/software to fit specialized needs and configurations.Core Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze, design, develop, and implement the most complex solutions, modifications, or enhancements to existing database environments for the company and/or a particular business unitIdentify and define new database technologies to fit specialized business needs and configurationsDesign, develop, test, debug, document, and implement the most complex database components, tools, and utilitiesExecute all aspects of the most complex systems database engineering projects, which involve multiple disciplinesParticipate in the configuration / capacity planning, software product evaluation, systems performance analysis; and optimizations for database environmentsInstall the most complex database hardware/software products by analyzing the current system environment, using technical tools and utilities; performing the most complex product customization and developing implementation and verification procedures to ensure successful installation of database hardware/softwarePerform daily Oracle 10g / 11g administration functionsPerform all other duties as assignedThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications (items are required unless noted otherwise):At least 3-6yrs of Oracle DBA backgroundOracle 10g / 11g Administration background3 yrs of SQL Server 200, 2005, and 2008 Administration is a plus but not required3 yrs of ETL packages (SSIS, DTS, and Informatica) are plusses but not requiredthree years of Stored Procedure Creation and PL/SQLSQL Server 2000, 2005, and 2008 administration of 2-3 yrs are plusses but not requiredETL package build / troubleshooting background is a plus (MS SQL Server Integration Services, MS SQL Server Data Transformation Services, Informatica, etc.)are plusses but not requiredMust understand relational database concepts and architectureUnderstand database servers and networkingUndergraduate studies in computer science, management info systems or a related position is preferredFor consideration, please send your resume to Paul Montoya at (click to respond)Listing originally posted at http://www.womenscareerchannel.com/job-search/oracle-dba.5412527.html
