We are currently accepting resumes for an Oracle Database Administrator in Columbus, OH.The selected candidate will perform the following duties: - Responsible for data analysis and database management - Involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning- Responsible for database backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management- Ensure that the data needs of the customer are being met and that data standards are being followed- Be involved in the gathering of requirements- Review the project documentation- Conduct reviews of the data model to support the application- Understand and identify data that exists in other systems/data stores- Attend all status meetings during which data, data models, reports, Extraction Transformation Loads (ETLs), and data exchanges will be discussed- Interview business stakeholders and system users to identify important business data- Create transactional data models to support on-line web application- Document data lineage (source-to-target mappings), dependencies, and calculations that can lead to an ETL design and implementation- Identify and design views and/or materialized views as necessaryRequired Skills and Experience: - 5 to 6 years of experience designing and developing Oracle relational data models and generating related Database schemas- 5 years of Oracle development experience- 5 years of experience as a data analyst/modeler - 5 years of experience designing relational data models including interviewing business stakeholders and system users to identify important business data, creating transactional data models to support on-line web application, documenting data lineage (source-to-target mappings), dependencies, and calculations that can lead to an ETL design and implementation, and identifying and designing views and/or materialized views as necessary- 1 year of experience with designing database schemas on Oracle 11g - 3 years of experience creating logical and physical data models using ERwin 7.3- 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office- Skilled at database design, installations, conversionsPreferred Skills and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field - Demonstrated prior experience in similar engagements - 2 years of experience writing complex SQL queries and performing data analysis- 2 years of experience with Oracle Version 11g - 1 year of experience using Microsoft SharePoint- 1 year of experience using SCRUM Agile development methodologies - 1 year of experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server - Excellent verbal communication skills (to be rated at onsite interview) - Goal-oriented proactive team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritize technical tasks in a fast-paced, professional environment UNICON International, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
