Express Specialized Recruiting Group is now hiring for the following positions in Pascagoula MS. 1 – Sr. Naval Architect 7 plus years experience in all phases of naval architecture with a minimum 4 years supporting commercial projects. Working knowledge of AutoCad, GHS, Rhino, and other ship design/stability software. Capable of determining the requirements of the owner’s specification and developing system design in accordance with those requirements and regulatory requirements. Working knowledge of ABS, DNV and other regulatory rules. Experience in launching and drydock operations. 2 – Project Engineers BS in technical field or minimum 5 years commercial marine experience, 2 plus years Project Engineer experience. Must have strong analytical and computer skills, excellent interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment. The Project Engineer, for the assigned project, coordinates all engineering activities, schedules and provides technical directions for team members, monitors design status and manning by design discipline, manages assigned resources efficiently and directs action where needed to meet the project plan. 1 – Mechanical Engineer (Minimum 5 years’ commercial marine related system design) 1 – Marine Estimator B Minimum of 4 – 7 years experience as a Material and Marine Estimator. College degree or equivalent job experience desired with considerable knowledge of division products. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures for developing, preparing and forecasting cost estimates. Also, must have the ability to work from blueprints and specifications; communicate cost savings methods of utilizing labor and materials for proposed projects; competently review highly complex specifications and drawings in order to formulate itemized work descriptions; and make high-level decisions and conduct complete, in-depth research. Assigns production man-hours and material costs to each work item within a project. Summarizes applicable engineering and indirect costs of each work item to determine total project cost. Supervises employees and trains lower level Marine Estimators in vendor selection, man-hour factors, and large or complex projects. 1 – Sr. Designer (Hull) (Minimum 5 years’ commercial marine experience 1 – Dock Master Must be a certified Dry Dock Master with 5 – 10 years experience to operate and manage its floating dry dock. Responsible for the technical work in docking, rigging, hauling and undocking vessels, tugs, and barges at our facility as well as maintaining the integrity of the dry dock. Must be experienced in vessel docking plans and arrangement, alignment, and setting of docking support blocks. Considerable knowledge and experience in vessels’ structure, stress points, load factors, cradle positioning and dock support blocking. Must have knowledge in stability calculations and docking plan development. Familiar with ballast control console operation, tank level control monitoring and trim/heel transfer. Knowledge of environmental regulations, USCG regulations and safety requirements. Ensures safe operation of dry dock and safety deck margins are maintained. Able to plan, organize, manage and communicate well with others. Overall knowledge of ships is essential. 1 – Shipfitting Erection Foreman Must have knowledge of manufacturing operations as related to plant products and components and applicable regulatory requirements and practices associated with commercial ship construction. Responsibilities/Requirements Include:• Able to analyze and interpret blueprints and production drawings;• Plan cost effective work procedures compatible with quality requirements; • Effectively communicate, instruct, build and direct a production team;• Knowledge of and experience with accuracy control and erection butt completion; and• Previous supervisory experience in shipfitting craft.
