New Jersey Charity Care RepresentativeLocation:Jersey City, NJJob #1780473Date Posted: 12-17-2012Apply NowSend to Friend(2) Charity Care Representatives -Jersey City, NJ 07306M-F, 8-5 (some Saturday work may be needed in future)4 mon contract, could become hired positionPay Rate: $17.50/hour*Please note that this role does require additional medical screening/innoculation (i.e., TB Test, flu shot)Job Description:This position is responsible for providing high-quality client focused service by using knowledge of the New Jersey Charity Care program to efficiently review, approve and audit Charity Care applications in a busy hospital environment. Primary Responsibilities/Tasks (include but are not limited to):- Working with Field Representative to request, accept and input needed verifications- Reviewing Charity Care applications for appropriate forms, signatures and verifications.- Proficient computer skills including word processing and data entry- Strong communication skills (verbal & written); demonstrated experience working with people of various educational and socioeconomic backgrounds (healthcare setting preferred), experience communicating government caseworkers and hospital personnel.- Previous experience in medical, hospital or clinical setting- Previous case management experience- Documenting actions taken in computer systems- Contacting applicants to complete applications in person or by phone- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel- Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, plan and follow through- Able to read, speak and write both English and Spanish fluently, preferred (one contractor MUST be multi-lingual)- Previous experience with New Jersey State Medicaid programs preferred- Assisting hospital walk-in patients complete Charity Care applications- Able to meet established deadlines timely and consistently- Knowledge and experience of New Jersey Charity Care program applications and processes is a MUST- Reviewing applications and approving them by following established guidelines- Previous customer service experience- High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree or some college preferred.- Pulling files and meeting deadlines for quarterly audit functionsRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesIf you have knowedge of the New Jersey Charity Care program, please email your resume ASAP.
