Performs examinations and testing of materials derived from the human body of all age groups served for the purpose of providing info for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of any disease of impairment of, or the assessment of, the health of human beings. These examinations also include procedures to determine, measure, or otherwise describe the presence or absence of various substances or organisms in the body. Position necessitates the expertise to develop, evaluate, and perform laboratory procedures using a high degree of independent judgment as well as integrity and accuracy in test performance and reporting of results. Requires the expertise to work under stress and great communication expertise and expertise to work with people.AA degree in laboratory sciences or medical laboratory technology and 1yr training/background in moderate and high complexity testing resulting in a HEW certification or equivalent.Min 1 yr previous hospital lab background required.
