M/F/D/V Description Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Kilo Lab Senior Scientist, Chemical Development Scale Up to join our Chemical Development department located at our Ridgefield, CT. facility. Duties and Responsibilities: Uses knowledge of chemistry, process safety and technical operations to prepare batch production records from laboratory process descriptions, and to design and implement equipment configurations appropriate to safe and operable batch execution. Effectively communicates and collaborates with colleagues in related functions concerning issues of project status, planning and implementation of campaigns. Organizes and leads Process Safety Discussions prior to batch execution. Prepares documents summarizing the outcome of Process Safety Discussions. Initiates the purchase of batch raw materials for campaigns. Maintains an awareness of order status. Participates in batch execution and supervises others in planning and batch execution to meet project timelines. Responsible for the completion and close out of executed batch records in a timely manner. Responsible for bringing resolution to regulatory compliance observations concerning GMP batch documentation so that it can be approved and closed promptly.
