Vesa Health & Technology is pursuing a contract to support the Air Force District of Washington Contracting Directorate (AFDW/PK). This service will be conducted at Joint Base Andrews, MD. We are in need of qualified candidates to fill the Details Technology (IT) Technical Support-Systems Administrator position. Details Technology (IT) Technical Support-Systems Administrator Min qualifications include a Bachelor?s Degree in Details Technology or a related field and 5 (5)-ten years related experience or equivalent. 2 (2) years or more experience in installing and maintaining personal computers, peripheral devices, servers, routers, frame relay; 3 years or more experience as PC tech/desktop support required. A+ and Network+ Certifications required. Shall hold current and appropriate level Security Clearance, or be eligible to receive the appropriate clearance. Shall be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Performs all duties associated with being the Lead System Administrator for Procurement Desktop Standard Procurement System (PD2). Provides technical support for configuration, installation, problem isolation, and problem resolution. Possess computer skills to perform work in the following areas: DOS, Windows XP, MS Vista, 2003 Server, Networking, and Windows 7. Shall be able to troubleshoot, evaluate and diagnose problems from file servers to network electronics to PC workstations and printers. Shall have knowledge of computers and info systems processes including, but not limited to: knowledge of networking concepts in a LAN/WAN environment, operational knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking protocol standards, operational knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking protocol standards, operational knowledge of cabling and network topography standards, operational knowledge of hubs, routers, switches, servers, and other LAN/WAN devices, operational knowledge of Microsoft XP/2003 Server/Vista networking and user administration. Provides support for the PD2/Standard Procurement System (SPS). Shall be able to apply both rational and creative processes and approaches to identify root causes of problems and their solutions. Shall be able to convey details clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents and communication. Shall possess interpersonal skills and be able to work well with all levels of management, associates, and users. Requires a operational knowledge of Systems or Doman Administration to include creating, deleting and customizing users? accounts, queues, workgroups and stations, troubleshooting and resolving problems using the relevant software; managing and maintaining servers and subsystems, ensuring minimal downtime. Ability to install off-the-shelf and customized software. Provide technical support to include monitoring government servers, switches, and routers for alerts; identify and troubleshoot issues and problems before they adversely affect end-users and maintain servers and services. Use Active Directory and DRA to unlock, reset accounts, and grant permissions to mailboxes and group accounts. Provide 2nd and 3rd level help desk support. This includes but is not limited to providing assistance with Microsoft Outlook and web access including: troubleshooting various email problems, assisting end-users and ITPOCs troubleshooting ticket issues, and using Numava Track-It ticketing systems to document issues and resolutions. ?Local travel may be required to support PK?s off-site location at Joint ?Base Anacosita Bolling (JBAB), Washington, DC.Listing originally posted at http://www.jobzoom.com/main/jobSummary.php?job_id=1213948
