Description:
This is a full time permanent position with our client in Dallas Texas POSITION OVERVIEW Secures enterprise details by determining security requirements; planning, implementing, and testing security systems; preparing security standards, policies, and procedures; mentors team members. Assists the SVP IT Shared Services to develop, maintain and manage the company's business continuity program. Supports all activities necessary to enable to respond to a business interruption. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researches info security standards; assists in the completion of system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studies application and system architectures; identifies integration issues; prepares cost estimates. · Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards. · Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation. · Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts. · Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; develops and conducts training programs. · Upgrades security systems by monitoring security environment; identifying security gaps; evaluating and implementing enhancements. · Prepares system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. · Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. · Within the context of a matrix organization, assists in the development and maintenance of a corporate wide business continuity program that addresses disaster recovery, business recovery and emergency response management. · Assists in the development, production and maintenance of BCP/DR materials and documentation (e.g., plans, emergency response procedures, call lists, test results, etc.). · Engage with Business Continuity Coordinators to develop effective working relationships. · Assist with crisis management in the event of a business interruption. · Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. · Performs special projects and other work related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES · Network Security, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Protocols, Networking Standards, Supervision, Conceptual Skills, Decision Making, Informing Others, Functional and Technical Skills, Dependability, Details Security Policies · Exceptional Initiative and Time Management skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to work within tight deadlines and thrive under a multi-project workload. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE · More than 7 yrs of focused experience in details security; or ten years of experience in IT and may possess knowledge of CISSP or equivalent experience in Info Security. · Min 2-three years actively developing and supporting business continuity programs · College Graduate and/or technical training preferred. Security Training a Plus (e.g. SANS, CISSP, OWASP, BlackHat.)
