Summary: The duties of this position are to provide delivery of advanced training on network design and topology and the technical installation, programming, certification, troubleshooting, service and system administration of HITS products to external and internal customers. Work closely with the implementation team including PMO and Sales to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the training delivery process. Works with product development and sustaining teams to ensure that technical training offerings are current and relevant. Acts as mentor to Technical Training Specialists. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:•Deliver effective technical training to Facilities Engineers, Biomedical Engineers, IS personnel, Implementation Engineers, Field Service Engineers, Field Service Technicians, technical support staff, and technical managers. ◦Deliver training on network design and topology to internal customers. ◦Deliver training on wireless network infrastructure to internal customers. ◦Deliver training on the integration of HITS products with 3rd party systems to internal customers. ◦Deliver training on connectivity of hospital telephony infrastructure, including T1 and Session Initiated Protocol (SIP), with HITS products to internal customers. •Conduct technical training on assigned HITS products to internal and external customers in accordance with training plans. •Deliver effective technical training of products to Sales, Sales Engineers, Business Partners and internal managers. •Be able to answer questions at the appropriate skill level based on the audience and training content. •Maintain a thorough understanding of the assigned products, services, features and functions. •Maintain a thorough understanding of training tools such as demo kits, computers and device functionality. Be able to troubleshoot and/or work through technical problems during training class. •Work to achieve established financial and operational goals. •Provide meaningful training content based on the changing needs and goals of the organization to the Training Development Analyst. •Act as product SME for Training Development Analyst. •Maintain appropriate overall cost controls for assigned training to achieve results within the planned expense targets. •Responsible for timely and efficient response to customer satisfaction issues. •Maintain compliance to all company policies, procedures, and to all government agency regulations pertaining to medical devices. •Responsible for timely and accurate documentation and reporting including training plans, training summaries, training records, customer communication, weekly/monthly reports, work orders, and documentation of the day-to-day activities as required. •Prepare training materials as needed. •Communicate in a highly professional manner and develop relationships with customers to maintain excellent customer satisfaction. •Ensure communication to customers is in alignment to company/product goals and expectations. •Communicate customer feedback, concerns and requests to appropriate HITS team members. •On-going communication with the HITS team members at all levels as needed. •Document/communicate customer acceptance/success/current status on each training/assignment. •Continuously improve to meet customer and HITS expectations in an ever changing environment. •Attend training, prepare through self-study and/or work with others to ensure a thorough knowledge of HITS products for which this position is assigned to train. •Understand and convey product installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance at both a systems level and a component level for assigned HITS products. •Provide continuous improvement feedback to product and development teams using the appropriate documentation/process to communicate defects and improvements. •Develops effective relationships with customers to learn and stay up to date regarding Biomedical and Health Care IS environments. •Keep up with the latest product innovations and training delivery methodologies; adapt training presentations accordingly. •Other duties as assigned. Qualifications •Highly proficient and demonstrated computer skills including application configuration, networking, and troubleshooting experience •5+ years experience in healthcare technical service delivery •1-3 years technical training preferred •Excellent written and verbal skills •Experience configuring, setting up, and debugging PC-based systems •Experience in telephony and/or VoIP technology •Experience in network security •Preferred Certifications in the following: ◦Cisco certifications: CCNA, CCDP or CCNP, CWLS, CWNA ◦Wireless certifications: CWNE, CWNP, CWSP, AWLAT, MNAWS, MNAWP, MNCE ◦General certifications: MCSE or MCSA, Network+, Security + May be required to demonstrate expertise in two or more of the following areas to support business needs: • SQL/Scripting/Reporting Engines/Analytics (SAS Crystal, etc.) •Networking (TCP/IP, Routing and Switching, Subnetting, Security) •Enterprise level hardware (Server/Client OS, SANS, RAID) •Middleware (Rhapsody, etc.) •HL7 •Wireless - Enterprise level/managed networks •RF Principles •Cisco routing and switching technologies and capabilities •Experience conducting wireless site assessments, wireless network configuration, certification, and debugging (use of voice and data protocol analyzers)***APPLY ONLINE:https://hillrom.taleo.net/careersection/jobdetail.ftl?job=30500〈=en&sns_id=mailto#.UKfGraITmy4.mailto
