. . Helpdesk Support / Systems Administrator Fulltime Employee position Waltham MA Our client is hiring for this Helpdesk Support / Systems Admin position. We are working directly with the IT Director hiring for this position. Great opportunity for learning and growth! Exposure to many technologies and functions! . ROLE -- 60% helpdesk support / 40% systems, network admin, and project-based work. -- Supporting 50+ users. -- High standard of customer service is critical. -- Small hands-on group supporting international network and server infrastructure for this investment capital organization. -- Routine System Administration tasks (New user setup, new PC deployment, backup monitoring and administration, Exchange Server administration, Cisco/HP network administration. -- Assist with infrastructure upgrades and projects. . REQUIRED -- one - 4 yrs experience with desktops / laptops / servers / networking. -- 4-year BS degree (CS, ENGG, MIS, etc). -- Exceptional communication / documentation skills. -- Ability to interact with high level non-technical executives. -- MUST be comfortable taking on new challenges and willing to learn !! ------------ Advanced-level desktop / user support experience: -- Proficient knowledge of Windows seven and Mac OS X. -- Proficient knowledge of Office 2010. -- Experience with centrally managed AntiVirus applications. -- Experience using and troubleshooting remote IPSec VPN clients. -- Hardware/Software troubleshooting of desktops and laptops (Dell and Apple). -- Printer troubleshooting / support. -- iOS / Android Mobile Device Support. -- Ability to provide remote / phone support for staff who are traveling and call in with problems. ------------ Server and Infrastructure support experience: -- Windows Server 2008 R2. -- Microsoft Exchange 2010. -- Experience with Outsourced SPAM filters, troubleshooting mail flow issues. -- Active Directory Administration (Moves, Adds, Changes). -- VMware ESX and Virtual Center. -- SAN Storage. ------------ Basic-level networking experience: -- Understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols. -- Experience working with routers, switches, firewalls (basic configuration, troubleshooting). -- Experience with Layer three switching / routing (VLan configuration, etc). .
