Job Summary This position provides the critical customer service support in a dynamic and fast-paced business setting. Essential tasks will be to answer phones, disseminating voicemails, and managing subscriber complaints, payments and other issues as they arise. Critical components of the role are to exhibit professionalism and maintain confidentiality, as well as to proactively juggle priorities and support for special projects as they arise. Job Functions Accurately type and format the Free Want Ads as they occur. Organize tear sheets and type/print associated coop invoices. Layout and dummy advertising space for the paper. Enter class display space using the AdOrder/Classified system. Partner with the ACM design center to create the class display. Schedule, proof, bill and notarize legal advertising. Schedule obituaries for billing and payments. Create bills for and ensure the publishing of classifieds. Manage mail distribution in a timely and efficient manner including opening and reviewing general office mail. Process subscriber and vendor payments and make bank deposits. Special projects as assigned.Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following education, work experience, and abilities: Education: Associates Degree preferred. Experience and Knowledge - -Two years successful experience working in a professional administrative setting preferably customer facing. o Proven success multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.o Experience working with the public o Must be self-motivated, driven to succeed and extremely professionalo A positive attitude is required and ability to be flexible to change and new challenges. o Must be comfortable handling customer complaints Technology Skills - - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including demonstrated experience in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have exceptional typing skills of at least 60 words a minute. Natural Focus on Customer Service Excellence - - commitment to consistently deliver high quality work products and services in a timely and cost effective manner. Communication Skills - - Superior phone skills and highly effective writing skills.
