Human Resource Advisor

We are looking for a results-driven, consultative and customer focused Human Resource Professional to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a highly consultative Human Resource role partnering with the Business Units they will support. The position requires 5 years HR experience or 18 months as an HR - Specialist. Qualified candidates will possess knowledge and understanding of current human resources policies and practices as well as of labor and fair employment practice laws. Must have experience and be able to demonstrate ability to partner effectively with clients in all functional areas. Must have experience in a fast response environment that is forward thinking with the ability to adapt to continuous change.

The ideal candidate will possess the following: Excellent personal computer skills; strong communication, presentation, follow up skills; business acumen; strong change agent; results oriented; fosters a customer service orientation; Sound problem solving and decision-making skills; prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously; integrity; effective leadership coaching skills; work under pressure, meets deadlines; work independently and as a team leader; comfortable interfacing with all levels; work cross-functionally. Ability to travel.

The position requires BS/BA in Management, Human Resources, or Human Relations or related field and PHR/SPHR or CCP or CEBS certification preferred.

Job Function:
•Advises and provides assistance to supervisors and managers on identifying, evaluating, and resolving subject matter related issues.
•Helps ensure consistency of the administration of programs and procedures as it relates to employees.
•Investigates employee complaints.
•Analyzes HR problems and recommends solutions based on expertise, knowledge and/or experience.
•Reviews performance management submissions for procedural compliance and effectiveness.
•Provides daily operational and consultative support to business managers.
•Administers and explains respective assigned human resources policies, programs, and procedures, and works with employees and management to gain compliance.
•Promotes open communication within all levels of the organization to positively resolve employee relations problems, while promoting and maintaining the integrity of employees and the organization.
•Handles labor and unemployment insurance claims protests including representing the Company at hearings.
•Assesses management training needs, researches and recommends programs to meet those needs. Facilitates training programs and new employee orientations.
•Facilitates the design and delivery of processes that enable the business to meet business objectives.
•Serves as a positive change agent to improve the company's competitive edge.
•Conducts ongoing needs analysis and develop appropriate training and development programs.
•Partners with Home Office and/or field Human Resources to ensure the attainment of long term human resource services goals.
•Provides educational and developmental counseling to employees.
•Promotes a learning environment.
•May serve as a liaison with Talent Acquisition in regard to recruiting/staffing needs and to fill the organizations diversity and skills gaps.
•May prepare various human resources reports and statistics.
•May assists in the preparation and maintenance of the departmental budget.
•Performs other functions as assigned.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Completion of PHR or CCP or CEBS certification preferred. Please include salary range expectations in your application.

Physical Actions:
Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs. maximum, bending, talking, hearing.

Physical Environments:
Required job duties are normally performed in a climate controlled office environment

Education Requirements:
BS/BA in Management, Human Resources, or Human Relations or related field.

Experience Requirements:
5 years HR experience or 18 months as HR - Analyst. Knowledge and understanding of current human resources policies and practices. Knowledge and understanding of labor and fair employment practice laws. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with clients in all functional areas. Competencies in the traditional human resources core skills areas as a generalist. Experience in a fast response environment that is forward thinking with the ability to adapt to change.
