Veracord is a consulting firm that supports Life Science companies with a wide range of needs related to Quality, Manufacturing, Validation & Compliance. Our client located in Santa Clara County has an immediate need for Engineer Degreed I position. JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES: * Contact suppliers and obtain component and material specifications * Convert supplier specifications into format for data entry * Data entry and database management of material specification, usage, and distribution
* Create/edit/finalize engineering documentation with moderate engineering supervision (documentation may include, but is not limited to: specifications, test instructions, test reports, procedures, engineering change packages, technical communications, CAD drawings) * Technical activities may include, but are not limited to: evaluate material/component specifications for completeness and compatibility with the quality system; develop and executive engineering investigations and tests, develop and document engineering specifications, develop and execute engineering change documentation
* Previous exposure to supplier/vendor contact activities preferred -Familiarity with laboratory environment and biological sample handling preferred * Exposure to a regulated environment (FDA, ISO, SEMI, or equivalent) preferred but not required -B.S. level degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering or Scientific field with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical, materials, instrumentation, or biological required. * Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED.
