QC Superintendent Wanted for long-term position with large scale corporation doing power plants all over the country. Must be ready to travel! 1st project in Cartersville, GA. Company based out of Jacksonville, FL. Seeking candidates out of Jacksonville, understanding that successful candidate will be a traveler. Scope of work: Quality Control Inspector Heavy on detail. Mechanical Ventilation. The QC Field Superintendents purpose is multi-faceted: Plan, organize, perform, and control the resources necessary to execute the installation of large/complex industrial ventilation and air conditioned projects in accordance with specifications, scope, quality, time, and budget requirements. Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Coordinate startup services with field labor, vendors, and subcontractors as required.- Review project scope and establish requirements. . Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specification requirements.- Coordinate completion of milestones for billing purposes on a timely basis.- Adopt "Zero Defects" approach for quality management.- Self-Starter. Ability to work independently, as well as in a group/team setting.- Coordinate with the project team members to identify deficient materials, equipment, or installation practices on the project. Work with team members to correct deficiencies.- Obtain customer release on job completion, and closeout project. Quality Inspection Responsibilities Include:Implementing and administering company quality program for installation work to be performed at clients facility, and to ensure materials/equipment provided for installation on the project conform to customer, industry, and company standards and specifications. Specifically:- Manage crew schedules, equipment delivery, trade activities, and project progress to ensure specifications, cost, and installation schedules are met.- Coordinate, develop, and execute installation plan with Field Installation Manager.- Create documents, maintain inspection records, and conduct quality meetings for the duration of the project. . Conduct routine inspections, and inventory of material and equipment shipments, as they are delivered to the site. Confirm that shipping and packing records are accurate.- 2-year degree in Science or Technology discipline, 4-years related work experience. . Prior field installation experience in an industrial environment preferred.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Witness startup tests, and certify that equipment is operating in accordance with specifications, approved drawings, and documentation. Skill/Job Requirements:- Ensures compliance with all company and OSHA regulations/safety requirements.- Perform as working supervisor where required.- Identify and correct punch list items.- Generate daily reports regarding project materials, equipment, and installation information to ensure consistency and accuracy.- Administer company quality program at the project site located in North Georgia.- Coordinate equipment rentals/leases. . Manage field labor and/or subcontract services.- Generate project progress reports.- Extensive travel to worksite locations required. Excellent, long-term opportunity.
