Job SummaryThe Circulation Director will lead the development and execution of Home Delivery and Single Copy sales programs. The successful candidate will develop market penetration strategies to optimize copy sales and revenue.Job Functions➢ Collaborate with every division, ensuring alignment on the acquisition, maintenance and retention of subscribers. ➢ Maintain a “Subscriber First” sales environment to increase customer satisfaction, product value and payment.➢ Develop innovative community, rack and retail strategies to increase presence and sales.➢ Ensure circulation profitability by conducting a thorough analysis of all costs and revenues. ➢ Use data to identify and target new subscribers.➢ Optimize rack and retail locations through market analysis and trending.➢ Develop acquisition strategies to target households deemed of high value to advertisers ➢ Monitor circulation performance, alert management to trends and react to resulting opportunities ➢ Design and implement strategies to achieve circulation growth by forming affinity sales partnerships within the business community (i.e. media, banking, real estate, entertainment, leisure, etc. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following education, work experience, and abilities:➢ Education: Associates Degree preferred. ➢ Experience and Knowledge - - 5+ years Circulation Experience preferred. o Proven success multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.o Experience working with the public o Must be self-motivated, driven to succeed and extremely professionalo A positive attitude is required and ability to be flexible to change and new challenges. o Must be comfortable handling customer complaints➢ Technology Skills - - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including demonstrated experience in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Circulation Management Systems a plus.➢ Natural Focus on Customer Service Excellence - - commitment to consistently deliver high quality work products and services in a timely and cost effective manner.➢ Communication Skills - - Superior phone skills and highly effective writing skills. ➢ Strong Work Ethic - - Has a self-starting nature and conscientious and diligent work ethic, a demonstrated flexibility and integrity, and a collaborative style with the objective of building strong relationships with diverse customer groups.
