Kelly Services is recruiting for a Chemical Operator for a global chemical company in the Marlborough, MA area. This is a longterm temporary assignment, for up to 1yr.The Chemical Operator must be able to work all seven days of the week as the schedule rotates. The shift is 7pm to 7am working four nights on, four nights off. Pay rate is $16.47 per hour. There will be weeks you will work 48 hours (you will be paid 40 hours regular time and eight hours time and a half) and weeks you will be paid 36 hours regular time based on the rotation.Summary of Job Duties for the Chemical Operator:Perform manufacturing batch processing tasks as specified in written procedures to support the production, packaging, and handling of materials. The position requires strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Responsibilities: Maintain a safe working environment and participate in all required safety programs, training, and activities. Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas. Operate and field check process equipment. Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems if required. Receive direction from area leads/supervisor and complete assigned tasks. Skill Requirements: Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus Fork Truck operation experience a plus Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Exceptional Attention to Detail Self motivating and hard working. Min of a High School Diploma/GED Physical Requirements: · Light to moderate physical effort required.· Lifting required occasionally of up to 40lbs.· Bending, pushing and pulling required on a daily basis.· Ability to occasionally work at table level and/or overhead level as necessary. · Required to wear appropriate PPE. Work Environment: · Work performed in a plant environment.· Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemical and other elements.
