We seek motivated, generous, and self-aware candidates with a good sense of humor and the potential forexcellence in teaching, scholarly activity, and graduate-student advising. Qualified applicants will have a doctoral degree in CounselorEducation (ABD candidates will be considered). The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching core and specialized courses inboth the School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health counseling tracks. Candidates with particular preparation, interest, or background inschool counseling are especially encouraged to apply. Founded in 1836 and nestled between the foothills of the Allegheny Mountainsand the Finger Lakes wine region in western New York State, Alfred University is a small comprehensive private university. It is situated ona sprawling 232 acre campus where nearly 2,000 undergraduate and 300 graduate students reside in a vibrant, student-centered learningcommunity. The Division of Counseling and School Psychology offers graduate programs leading to NYS certification as a School Counselor andNYS Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, as well as state and national certification as a School Psychologist and NYS LicensedPsychologist. The School Psychology programs are approved by NASP and accredited by APA, and the Counseling program is seeking CACREPaccreditation.
