For Joshua Liner Carousel we are seeking an Assistant Carousel Director. Founded in 2008 and located in Chelsea, the carousel presents an exciting roster of emerging and established international contemporary artists with a focus on global issues, new technology and current-day social, political and environmental concerns. The successful applicant will assist the Director with all aspects of carousel sales, operations and strategies, including: develop and maintain new and existing relationships with private, public and corporate clients; assist in developing sales, business and marketing strategies for carousel and artists; initiate and close sales; meet quarterly and annual sales goals; establish and develop relationships with museums, galleries, curators and cultural organizations; plan and oversee all aspects of art fair participation; assist with exhibition schedule and related logistics; write and oversee the production of catalogues, PR and other support materials; represent the carousel at openings, public programs and events; other duties as necessary. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 yrs' experience at an art carousel or auction house with a proven record in sales, extensive knowledge of the international art market, and excellent organizational, communications and networking skills. BA in Art History required. An excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional with the ability to work independently and with others. Salary at 50K plus commission and benefits.
